Kew District Cross Country
On Tuesday 16 May, a very cold and wet morning, ten courageous Erasmus students competed in the Kew District Cross Country event. For many of these students it was their first encounter in a district competition and they didn’t let our school down. All students proudly represented Erasmus with the virtues firmly set, to dig deep, to complete the course in unfavourable conditions. All students placed extremely well in comparison to the large cohort of competitors. A huge thank you to the parents who helped support our students by providing travel arrangements and supervision. An extra acknowledgment to Bianca Dobson for helping coordinate at the event.
Three cheers for all of our Erasmus competitors on the day – 9/10 year old 2km competitors, 11 year old 3km competitors and 12/13 year old 3km competitors. What an amazing effort!
A huge congratulations to one of our Year 6 students who placed second in the 12/13 year old boys 3km race. He is now invited to compete in the Boorondara Division event on Monday 29th May. We wish him the best of luck.
