A Moving Masterpiece!

During Thinking and Learning in Term 2, Year 4 students have been applying cognitive functions when solving real-world problems. The challenge was to make a car that moves using cardboard, rubber bands, skewers, straws and decorations. They defined the problem, made a plan and used hypothetical thinking. During construction, they considered changes, persevered and tested their hypothesis. After testing, they carefully gathered data and considered changes; what worked well, what could have been improved and what new skills were learnt.
