Meals at School

We provide a healthy, wholesome, organic morning tea and lunch every day for all children and staff. Meals are prepared with love and care in our own kitchen. Everyone sits down together to enjoy the good company and serving each other. We aim to ensure everyone is sufficiently and appropriately nourished throughout the school day to optimise their learning, engagement and sense of wellbeing. Our approach is based on healthy eating philosophies shared by many ancient and contemporary cultures worldwide. Our menu is readily digestible, pure and light.

Simply, it’s:

  • Wholefood – Fresh organic and seasonal produce
  • Preservative and additive free products, including sauces
  • All subject to availability

Special Dietary Requirements

We cater for dietary requirements, where possible: for allergies, intolerances or for spiritual reasons. We currently cater for gluten-free, legume-free, scallion-free, dairy-free and vegan meals.

Banned Foods

At Erasmus Primary School, there are currently students who are at risk of anaphylaxis. Anaphylaxis is a severe, rapidly progressive allergic reaction that is potentially life threatening.

To reduce the risk of an anaphylactic reaction, known allergens are banned from the site and all school excursions.

The banned foods are:

  • nuts and nut products except almonds
  • Kiwi fruit
